Board of Trustees of Sublette County School District #1, Pinedale,
Wyoming is taking applications for the vacant Pinedale #1 Trustee
Seat.
• An applicant must reside in Pinedale #1 Trustee Residence Area of Sublette
County School District #1 and will fill the vacant term (2 years) until the next
general election.

Bret Kingsbury and sent to P.O. Box 549, or delivered to the Superintendent’s

is accepting bid for a 1993 Thomas rear engine type D school
bus with 72-passenger seating. This bus has a 250 hp Cummings
diesel motor with an automatic Allison MT643 transmission. Sealed
bids must be submitted to Doug Northrup, Transportation Director,
by 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 28, 2008. Bids will be opened
in the Board Room of the Administration Building at that time.

NOTICE: RENTAL SCAM ALERT: Notice
to potential renters. We have received reports of a
scam targeting Pinedale-area rental properties. It works like
this. A tantalizing classified ad was spotted on Craiglist.com
(classified ad website) under the Wyoming – Apartments/Housing
section for rentals. The property listed a 3BR/2Bath “Home
of Elegance” in Pinedale for rent for $600. This sounds
like a great deal because most of our housing starts much higher
than that. The catch to this is that the home advertised actually
sold a couple of days before and the new owners have moved in.
When a reader called the number listed, she got a man in Africa
who wanted her to send a deposit to him in Africa. Readers are
encouraged to be careful of scams when responding to classifieds
for any product or service. If the deal sounds too good to be
true (especially with a tantalizing low price - our rentals are
going from $1000 to $4000 per month right now typical rent prices),
that might be a red flag warning sign of a potential scam ad.
We do our best to screen our advertisers to verify the contact
information for any classified ads posted on Pinedale Online,
however the general rule of thumb is: "Buyer Beware." Thank
