Description: | The Sublette County Historical Society is seeking a hostess/host for part-time work at the Sommers Homestead Living History Museum during the summer season. Job is for Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 9AM to about 4PM, June-July-August.
Work includes setting up and taking down some interactive displays each day, greeting visitors, and helping with hands-on activities with guests (adults and children).
Must enjoy visiting with people of all ages and interacting with children.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Job involves standing, walking between buildings on the site, and ability to go up and down stairs.
Prefer someone who enjoys history, is easy-going and cheerful, and is a good listener. Must be honest, reliable, on-time. Very helpful if you are comfortable working independently at times and don’t mind doing some domestic chores.
There are opportunities for additional days of work to help with private group tours on weekdays during the spring (May school tours), summer, and into the fall (September school tours). Pay starts at $13/hour.
The Homestead is located 7.3 miles south on the East Green River Road (about 20-minute drive from Pinedale). Must have own reliable transportation to get to and from the historic site. Steady work starts the beginning of June, but there will be weekday school group tours in the last half of May, and into September as well. Must be able to consistently work Friday, Saturday and Sunday each weekend during the summer.
