Ozone Forecast Feb. 1 & 2, 2012

Wednesday (February 1):  A mix of sunshine and scattered high clouds are expected over the Basin today.  Clouds will increase later this afternoon/evening with an increasing chance of snow developing overnight through Thursday.  Light snowfall amounts are possible.  As a result of forecasted weather conditions elevated 8-hour ozone concentrations are not expected on Wednesday (February 1), however, isolated elevated hourly levels are anticipated. ________________________________________   Thursday (February 2):  The passage of a storm system will result in cloudy skies and seasonal temperatures on Thursday.  Intermittent snow showers or flurries are possible with periods of wind, however, nothing significant is forecast.  As a result of forecasted weather conditions elevated 8-hour ozone concentrations are not expected on Thursday (February 2).
