Safety in Bear, Lion & Work Country Workshops
In Pinedale April 12
by Wyoming Game & Fish
February 21, 2006

Preventing conflicts with bears, mountain lions and wolves is the focus of free "Staying Safe in Bear, Lion and Wolf Country" workshops across the state February to April.

The presentations are led by Wyoming Game and Fish Department large predator specialists and feature bear and mountain lion behavior and biology and what to do if you encounter a bear, lion or wolf. Safety and legal issues involving the animals along with the most current information on the use of pepper spray will also be discussed.

The Game and Fish kicked off bear workshops in 1995 and mountain lions were added to the agenda shortly after. Wolves were added to the program this year.

Pre-registration is preferred, but not required by contacting Game and Fish regional office nearest the site.
