Hoback Road Project Map Map by WYDOT

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) are preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for proposed improvements on Hwy 191189 in the vicinity of Hoback Junction in Teton County. The Draft EIS is scheduled for public review in spring of 2007.

The proposed project begins approximately six miles south of Jackson along US Highway 191/26/89/189 and runs south approximately seven miles to Hoback Junction. At Hoback Junction the project branches to the southwest and east—southwest along US 26/89 for approximately one mile that includes the Snake River Bridge, and east along US 191/189 for approximately three mile.

The public is invited to attend a meeting that has been scheduled to present the project alternatives and receive feedback. The meeting will be held on Thursday, July 6th at the Teton County Library in Jackson from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.
