The Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC) will again present a full slate of summer events in 2011 with the 4th annual Soundcheck Mini-Music Festival, Shakespeare in the Park and an August outdoor concert. All PFAC summer events are free to the public so come on out, bring your camp chair and cooler and don’t forget the sunscreen!

First up is the 4th Annual PFAC Souncheck Mini-Music Fest on Saturday, June 25 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the American Legion Park. This year’s headlining band will be none other than Shotgun Party out of Austin, Texas. Shotgun Party performs original tunes that are beautiful and timeless, drawing influences from early blues, country, bluegrass and depression-era swing. Katy Rose Cox's fearless fiddling is simply virtuosic. Miss Jenny Parrott's gorgeous vocals and addictive songs will bring you to your knees.

Also performing at Souncheck 4 will be Leo Rondeau and Dynamite Tales. No strangers to Sublette County, Leo and company perform their unique blend of honky-tonk anthems and supple, aching, country waltzes. Opening the music fest will be Jackson Hole duo Screen Door Porch who perform soulful Americana, folk-blues and alt-country.

Next up in the summer series is the annual Shakespeare in the Park, which will be held on Saturday, July 16 (time to be announced) in the American Legion Park. The Wyoming Shakespeare Festival Touring Company will again return to Pinedale this time to stage a production of Shakespeare’s "Much Ado About Nothing."

Closing out PFAC’s Summer Series will be the Jalan Crossland Band performing live on Friday, August 5 at 6:00 pm in the American Legion Park. Crossland brings Old-time and bluegrass together with good ‘ol rock-n-roll and puts on an energetic live show that can’t be beat.

The PFAC Summer Series is presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council with support in part from the Wyoming Arts Council through funding from the Wyoming Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts which believes a great nation deserves great art, the Sublette County Recreation Board and the Town of Pinedale.
