WCC crew helps with project
by Bureau of Land Management
June 15, 2011

A Wyoming Conservation Corps (WCC) crew is helping the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Pinedale Field Office (PFO) make improvements to the Warren Bridge Recreation Area to benefit recreation, rangeland and wildlife resources.

The eight-person WCC crew is completing work started last summer on the Warren Bridge Hiking Trail and installing trail marker posts and area use information signs. The crew is also setting up protective cages around last year’s cottonwood tree plantings, completing a fence inventory to identify problem areas for wildlife fence strikes and installing bird escape ladders in stock tanks.

The WCC crew will try to complete all projects by June 15. Funding for the crew was provided by Encana.

For additional information, please contact Josh Hemenway, PFO wildlife biologist, at 307-367-5322 or jhemenway@blm.gov, or Martin Hudson, PFO recreation planner, at 307-367-5315 or mhudson@blm.gov.
