The Wyoming Game and Fish Department reports as of 4 p.m. December 10, 2013, a total of 19 wolves have been harvested in this year's trophy game areas during the hunting season. The 2013 Trophy Quota for wolves is 26, so all but five hunting areas are now closed, with these areas to remain open until the harvest is reached or until the end of the year, whichever comes first.
In addition, 34 wolves have been harvested in the state's predator zone since the start of the year.
In neighboring Idaho, 138 wolves have been harvested in the hunting season, and another 13 from trapping season. In Montana, 97 wolves have been harvested in the hunting season.
