November 6, 2015
Many thanks who those of you who attended the Public Hearing Monday regarding the proposed movie theater project. Regardless of your position, your opinion is important. So we thank you for your valuable time spent participating.
I also want to thank everyone who attended the Pinedale Travel and Tourism Mixer on Tuesday. It was a fun evening, and for those of you who missed it, Mike Kaul was presented the John F Patterson Award for his outstanding contributions to the tourism industry in Pinedale. Congratulations Mike and Jaime Kaul!
If you are interested in being more involved, the Pinedale Town Council has a seat open. Letters of interest must be submitted to Pat Schwab at Town Hall no later than 5 PM on November 16th.
Other opportunities to be involved include an open seat on the Pinedale Planning and Zoning Commission and an upcoming vacancy on The Pinedale Travel and Tourism Commission. For Planning and Zoning information- ask for Hayley; for Travel and Tourism information ask for Maureen. Both can be reached at 307-367-4136.
Need an evening of fun? Thursday marks the opening night of the Pinedale Community Theaterís presentation of Oklahoma! The musical theater production starring all locals runs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday! For more information visit www.pinedaletheatre.com.
Pinedale dog owners, the new tags are available now. Please remember if you have a dog in town, it must be licensed annually. Remember to bring the vaccination and spay/neuter records from your vet into Town Hall with you when you come in for the license. If you have questions, please call us at 307-367-4136.
Winterization is well under way for most of us. If you need help removing a water meter for winter, remember to check the Town website, www.townofpinedale.us for a do-it-yourself video or a list of service providers. By ordinance, you are responsible for any water line freezing from the water main in the street to your home or business. If you are not removing your water meter, please be sure to keep the meter warm. Depending on your individual water circumstances, it may be time to start a bleeder line to prevent pipes and meters from freezing and breaking. If you have any questions about bleeding your lines, please contact Town Hall immediately. Just as a reminder, we are still on a flat rate and you will not be charged any more for bleeding your water system.
Remember, as of November 1st, we are in the No Dig season. This means there is no digging allowed in the town right of ways until April of next year.
And last, the Town Hall and all Town departments will be closed Wednesday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day. We know all of you join us in our respect and appreciation of our Veterans and their families.
