About PLTW : PLTW Engineering provides all students with a track for success, whether they are interested in learning more about engineering, have decided to pursue it as a career, or simply want to learn to think critically, work collaboratively, and explore how math and science work in everyday life. Students engage in open ended problem solving, learn and apply the engineering design process, and use the same industry leading technology and software as the world’s top companies. They investigate topics such as aerodynamics and astronautics, biological engineering and sustainability, and digital electronics and circuit design, giving them an opportunity to learn about various engineering disciplines before beginning postsecondary education or careers. Through the Engineering program, students often have the opportunity to earn college credit, admissions preferences, or scholarships for completed PLTW courses.

"PLTW has a long history of successfully engaging students in STEM subjects," said Supt. Jay Harnack. Sublette County School District #1 is proud to offer PLTW to our students, giving them an advantage over their peers when it comes to high school, college and career readiness. We believe our community will also see the benefits of PLTW as the pool of highly skilled workers for local businesses increases."

In addition to providing world class STEM programs, PLTW provides ongoing, high quality professional development training that equips teachers with the program content, academic framework, and instructive skills required to teach each PLTW course. PLTW schools also benefit from the organization’s engaged network of Fortune 500 companies, educators, and partners.

Schoolbased PLTW Partnership Teams complement the curriculum by recruiting local business and industry professionals to serve as mentors and share their real world experiences with students.

"In today’s global economy, Americans are competing not just against each other, but against their peers in countries like China and India," said Vince Bertram, CEO of PLTW. "It is more critical now than ever for our education system to help students develop the critical thinking and problem solving skills to prepare them for the global economy."

About Globaloria: Globaloria is an award winning learning system that provides college style courses in STEM, enhancing computing innovation and teamwork through game design and coding. Globaloria courses empower students to become creative thinkers and thoughtful producers, not just consumers of complex digital content.
